Eggs

This episode of New Girl had a "Sexually Explicit" warning before the intro! That was interesting....

Jess' lesbian friends are going to have a baby. And that makes Jess so happy but gets her thinking that she is going to run out of time if she waits too long to meet someone and have a baby.

So she and Cece go to her gyno and get a fertility test and find out that Jess has a bunch of eggs and has a great chance of having a kid whenever she wants. Jess has plenty of time. But Cece on the other hand, she doesn't have the time she thought she did. She if she wants to have kids, she needs to have them right now.

Good thing she is dating Robbi, a good dad that would made a pretty good Dad. Except, he doesn't want kids for like 10 years.......o dear!

And Schmidt...o boy! He is upset because he is having physical relations with his boss and he can't satisfy her. Instead he finds out that he was in love with Cece the whole time they were together, Schmidt being Schmidt just didn't realize it.

Parent Trap

In this episode Jess'parents come in for Thanksgiving. Her parents are divorced and can't really stand to be in the same room so she scheduled times for them to come and visit.

Of course that didn't work out!

When Jess was a kid she always had this dream of setting her parents back up together so that they would get married again. She never stopped trying....even when she is 30.

Well her parents do end up making out in the bathroom! So of course she feels accomplished but unfortunately  they have to tell her that they are never ever ever getting back together (hmmm sounds like a Taylor Swift song).

Schmidt and his cousin have a "manly" contest to see who is more manly and someone ends up kissing Winston. Poor Winston...

P.S. I ended up watching Ben and Kate which is on right before New Girl....pretty funny show! I really like it! Tuesday nights are becoming my T.V nights! lol

Menzies

This episode cracked me up!

Jess is having a hard time trying to find her feet again after getting laid off and then being fired from her temp job.

When she is PMSing….she gets overly emotional, angry randomly and really is a “typical girl” but waay over dramatic…which is hysterical!

Winston thinks that he is getting Man-PMS (which apparently is real…because it’s on the internet lol) and he is relating to Jess and being all girlie and emotional. Turns out, he is just upset about him and Shelby breaking up but didn’t want to admit it.

Nick gets “anger management” help from a random Asian guy in the park. Akward…

Cece gets upset because people are starting to think she is “nice”…..I mean why would you want people to think that?

This episode is a hoot! Twitter was new to me but now….I love tweeting and watching the show J #newgirl!

Presidential Election

The presidential election was on tonight instead of New Girl….yet again L

I definitely think that finding out who the president of the Untied States is going to be in VERY important, I am just bummed that I miss out on my show of the week.

On a good note, all the silly Facebook and Twitter posts are done!

Is it me or did people feel like everyone took this election to a personal level? I felt like if you didn’t agree with people politically that you were personally attacking them? 

Halloween

This past episode was a Halloween themed episode! Kind of a lot happened….

Jess finds out that Sam (the guy she has been seeing) is a Pediatrician and is greeeaatt with kids. She totally falls for him and starts thinking of him as more than just a hook-up.

Schmidt totally tries to ruin Cece and her new boyfriend (Robbi) date. He fails and finally desides it is time to just give in and that if Cece wants to be with him, she will in her own time.

Nick ends up trying to get back together with his old college flame, but backs out because “the thought of her was more appealing than being in a relationship with her actually was.” Ouch.

Winston ends up breaking up with Shelby. That was awkward. They break up in the middle of a haunted house.

Nick punches Jess in the face by accident and in the end Jess gets her heart broke by Sam and gets to punch Nick in the face. J

Jess LOVES that Sam is good with kids!

Models and Friends

This week’s show was really relatable for me!

It’s Cece’s birthday and she wants to go out to the bars with Jess and her model friends….

Well Jess, being the good friend that she is, tries to make it work. But when Cece’s model friends start making dumb conversation and jokes about Jess, she can’t take it anymore and basically tells them that all models are stupid and Cece was stupid as well.  Cece over heard this and was really hurt.

They have a fight, pretty big fight actually. Jess leaves and Cece decides to drink her problems away, forgetting that she has a huge car modeling gig the next day.  Jess comes the next morning to apologize and finds Cece super hung over. Jess takes her to the shoot and tries to model on Cece’s behalf….turns out it’s harder than it looks! Well….Jess makes it a lot harder being the silly klutz she is.

The only time I have ever fought with my Best Friend was in grade school…and it was totally over a stupid boy and some “He-Said-She-Said” silliness!

Have you ever had a fight with your Best Friend?? Over what? 

No Show this week....Presidential Debate Instead

This week we didn’t have a New Girl…..because of the Presidential Debate.

I did watch that instead but it really depressed me because I was really looking forward to watching my show L but alas, the Prediential Debate was something I needed to watch and something that was worth watching.

Does anyone have any thoughts or comments about the 2^nd Presidential Debate??

Or how the campaigns in general are going overall?

How about the amount of social media being used in the presidential campaigns this year? 

Neighbors

Not the best in the bunch so far….it was ok.

In this episode the gang gets some new neighbors…they seem nice but they are young. And they are total hipster hippie type people. They don’t really fit in with the group but……Schmidt tries really really hard. Which is funny!

Jess fits right in with them….well sort of. She uses catch phrases from 80’s sitcoms to make herself seem much funnier to them. Then she realizes that working a minimum wage job in the food industry is not what she wants to do with her life and that by working with a bunch of kids, she herself has become a kid again. Another reason why she “fits in with them so well”. And Schmidt gets really upset because he thinks that the new neighbors don’t like him because he is old……lol nope they don’t like him because he is, well, Schmidt.  

Jess then has to tell Schmidt that that the new neighbors hate him…..awkward! lol but it’s Schmidt so he just tried to impress them harder.

Anyone ever had a friend that would NOT get a hint about something (doing something embarrassing, to stop talking, ect.) and finally you had to be blunt with them? 

Emotional Fluffer

Fun fact of the week: I learned this episode that there is an actual job out there called a “fluffer”….and their job is to keep porn stars aroused in between takes.

Hmmmmmmmmm…….

And according to “ChaCha Answers”: A fluffer is the lowest paid position. Salaries range from $150.00 to over $20,000.00 per film depending how the film does.

In this episode, Jess keeps having casual sex with this Sam kid, but needs to go out on a real date before hand. Well she ends up going out with none other than…Nick.

They have fun! O..M..G they are too friggin' cute. But then Winston comes to Nick with his “wisdom” and puts it in Nick’s head that Jess is using Nick as her “Emotional Fluffer”. She needs Nick to be there emotionally for her, like a real boyfriend, but Nick doesn't get the physical benefits.

So Nick gets all upset and ends up having a "Love Hate Fight" with Jess which actually turns out adorable.

In the end he ends up fixing her dresser for her and making up. They come to the conclusion that they are attracted to each other but want to keep it not weird. 

Which is good…because if this show gets all awkward between them. I will be one sad girl!Emotional Fluffer

Jess...or Kate??

This episode was hilarious! So Jess gets herself into a little trouble when she takes Nick’s advice about
being laid off. She goes to hang out at the bar and drinks….perfectly good remedy right?

Lol NOT!

It works out in a way…she meets this really nice guy named Andy that is delivering beer kegs with his
buddy BearClaw……well lets just say BearClaw is a interesting young man….

Anyway! She asked Nick to give “that guy” her number. Well she should have been more specific.

Later that afternoon she meets this really cute guy from a dating site who thinks her name is Katie,
naturally, Jess plays along. And before you know it she is making out with him in public and takes him
home with her! What a little devil!

Later on, “Andy” texts her asking to have dinner at her house, of course she is excited! But now she has
TWO guys that want to be with her. She decides to have dinner with “Andy”…who is actually BearClaw!

Man…who knew Nick would mess that up! O and can’t forget that Nick gets to meet “Future Nick”…lol

Welp…end of the episode is basically Jess’ lies about being Katie and Jess to two different guys catches
up with her and she gets called out.

Reminds me of when I was younger and I lied to one of my best friends about going to a movie with my
family instead of her when actually I went with a boy…she ended up being at the same movie at the
same time…and she of course saw us. AWKARD!

Has anyone ever told a lie, big or little, that eventually caught up with them and backfired??

Finally! The Season 2 Premier! :)

SOOO EXCITED!

This was such a great episode to kick off the season with. There are so many different ways this show can go and it made me not be able to wait to watch the next show!

So basically Schimt had his penis in a cast...it was broken? Guess that really can happen...! Well he finally gets the cast taken off and he decides to throw a big party to let everyone know. Yeah, he is a different guy. He invited Cece and wants to get back together with her buuuut Cece shows up with her new boyfriend?! And he is nothing like Schimt at all! Not in the looks department, personality department or anything...totally opposite.

Jess gets laid off from teaching...which is really kind of sad but picks herself right up and tries to find work. She gets a job being a "shot girl" and then, with the help from Nick, realizes that she loves teaching and she doesn't want to do anything else with her life.

Has anyone had that happen? Kind of like "you don't know you have a good thing until it's gone"type of event happen in their lives? Little or big?

Jake Johnson AKA “Love of Jess Day’s Life”

Well, this is the final week before the Season 2 starts!! Who is pumped? THIS GIRL! But before that…we
need to get to know Jake Johnson a littler better.

Jake Johnson plays the part of Nick Miller, he is the room mate that is the most immature and is kind
of the slacker of the group. He is very broke all the time, he bartends, and dropped out of law school
before he got a degree. He recently went through a very rough break up with Caroline. He is mopey
about love and picks all the wrong girls to be with. Anyone have a friend or has been that friend? Just
hates love? Well Nick is in that phase….

Schmidt probably has to be my favorite character on New Girl...next to Jess Day of course!

He is simply the funniest character and says the silliest things. He is a quick low down of who the Schmidt character is....

Season Premier September 25th!! Only  2 weeks away!

It's......Zooey Deschanel

Well the first New Girl episode is not until September 25th...which seems so far away but really it is not! I will be airing on FOX at 7/8pm.

The main actor is Zooey Deschanel. She is really talented and doesn't just play 'Jess' on this show but has done alot of other things too! Plus growing up she was introduced to the movie life.

Zooey Deschanel was born in 1980. Her father, Caleb Deschane, is an Academy Award nominated cinematographor (Passion of Chirst 2004) and her mother, Mary Jo Deschanel is an actress who played in movies.
Zoey herself has been nominated for 9 Academy Awards and won 2.

I am New to this...

So I am really new to this whole blogging thing...but for this semester I want to blog about this brand new show that I really really really like! "New Girl" it is on FOX and is friggin' hilarious

Bonus...main character's name is Jess :) 

For the first entry I feel like it's appropriate to start with a summary of the characters.

Jess Day: Played by Zoey Deschanel. She is the main character. After a bad break up with her cheating boyfriend, she finds these three guys who are looking for a new room mate. Hence, she is the "new girl". She is quirky, bubbly, elementary school teacher, who loves to sing and definitely marches to the beat of a different drum but she has the heart of gold.  

Nick Miller: Played by Jake Johnson. He and Jess have a lot in common. Nick has been dumped 6 months ago....and still can't really get over it. Her name was Caroline. Nick is a law school drop out who now bar tends to make ends meet. He is super independent and has a hard time listening to his friends, but he ends up in awkwardly funny situations because of it. PS toootally in love with Jess but just doesn't know it yet. 

Schmidt: Played by Max Greenfield. Schmidt is something else. He thinks he is hot stuff....but he acts like a dork most of the time. He is really metro and works in an office with all girls. He ends up sleeping with Cece (Jess's model friend) but they keep it a secret. Has a "Douchebag Jar" that he has to put money into everytime he says or does something stupid...needless to say he puts money into in quite often. 

Cece: Played by Hannah Simone. Cece is a model and Jess's best friend. She is that best friend that is kind of mean in a loving way to Jess. She is in love with Schmidt. But she doesn't want to admit it yet. 

Winston Bishop: Played by Lamorne Morris. Winston is the funny, chill black guy of the show. He is really athletic and went pro in basketball overseas. He is usually the voice of reason in the group.
